After you use the Internet and email for a while, you realize that you have made yourself a little electronic family, of sorts. So here is a little page dedicated to all of those people I have met on the net who have turned into good friends, and write me nice emails to help me stay motivated and happy in the online and offline world:)
- Kate Hart
My friend of over 8 years now, and my favourite pal. She is from New Zealand, and over the years has sent me tons of gifts like posters, a Union Jack, yummy candies, awesome jewelry, cards, postcards, T-shirts, cassette tapes and other stuff. She came to the US to visit for a bit, and I hope she gets to come back real soon.:)
- Steve Ruiz
One of the first people I met after I made my first homepage, Steve and I used to be homepage neighbors:) He has a wonderful sense of humor and unfortunately is quite self-effacing. He writes for his school paper, Driftwood. Read his essays, check out his site, it will put a smile on your face for sure.
- Phunman
I met Phunman, aka Corey, while playing The Realm. He is a very generous and kind guy, and quite helpful. He has given me tons of treasures, plus found me fleshies! Whee! (For those of you who do not know what I mean, I am talking about a rare and coveted pair of boots). He is my favourite person to hang with on the Realm, and I even miss him when he is gone for long periods of time. How about that?;) He is also a wonderful poet, so go read his works on his page! Why'd you think I provided a link?:) He is a very good writer, far better than many I have seen out there today. Impresssive for a boy:) Oh and go sign his guestbook...don't forget to check out his picture! He is a cutie patootie!
- Donn Thomson
Ok, I met this guy in Real Life (oooohh...ahhhh!) and found he is also present on the web. He is a gentle creature, and quite nice. Go on and visit his site, which will explain more about this actor who also likes computers. And if you are in Sacramento you may want to stop by his theatre and see their production of "A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum". It is a truly funny play, I saw the Broadway version and laughed myself sick, so please take a chance on it, it is sure to raise your spirits
- Erik
I met Erik in early 1997, after perusing his Tripping Daisy supersite. When he isn't being cool (yeah when is he not cool?), he works at Broadcast.com. Go on and check out their page, Erik made it! Yes, he is a web designer-extraordinaire. I do hope to meet him someday;) He is a cutie, kind, creative, always ready to go to this site and tell me how it's looking.....oh I could go on but you get the point!
- Noel
No. Ah No. No is one of my oldest net friends, met him when I joined a pen pal service on the web. He first said that people he wrote to did not write back as frequently as a healthy correspondence, so i made sure to write many many letters to this guy. He is the only pal that i have established a special closing to my emails for. :) His site is all about his experience working for the Circus.
- Mark Tapio Kines
Mark is an indie filmmaker. I met him through a mailing list I was once on, and I keep up an interesting correspondence with him. He definitely is a very interesting fellow and I look forward to his emails, which he diligently tries to make as long as he can even though he works long hours. His site focuses on his first film "Foreign Correspondents", which stars Wil Wheaton, Melanie Lynskey, and Corin Nemec. It is very well made and you will find it also easy to navigate. BTW, if you would like to invest in this film, Mark is currently looking for investors. You may get to see your name on the silver screen, as well as make some money on the films profits, so please check his site for more details!
- Kat
I met Kat through a pen pal service as well, and am I glad I joined! She loves writing as I do, is Christian, as I am, and is one of the most cool people out there in this world. I learn a lot from her, and she is kind and sweet, and always ready with an encouraging word. Her letter are super long (the way I like em!) and her writing is so beautiful it is a joy to read what she is up to, as well as learn from her writing. Her site is a tribute to England, which she loves very much. there are great pictures of castles and great places, so please go have a look. It is a beautiful page. - Christine My sister's page. Ok, did not meet HER on the net, but hey, gotta put her page here or she'll be mad:)
- Jason Williams
Met Jason through a link on Steve's page (see above). Haven't heard form him in a while, but hey, sometimes it is hard to keep up with everyone. Sorry, Jason! You are not forgotten, just look at this nifty tribute I made ya!:)
